Departure times are shown by time of day. Exact flight numbers and times are shared with team members on their status page once they’re approved.
A typical rotation
Day by day on the ground
- Day 1
Travel & arrival in Managua
Long travel day with connections. Arrive late and stay the first night near the airport for a proper rest — and a first look at the capital.
- Day 2
Daylight drive to the lake
Hand-off with the outgoing team, then a daytime drive to the San Jorge / Rivas area near Lake Nicaragua so the team can take in the landscape.
- Days 3–11
On the work site
Hands-on service at the Southern Nicaragua District Center — construction, teaching, worship, and children’s ministry alongside local believers. The team stays together on one project.
- Non-work days
Visiting the wider church
Where the schedule allows, visit other churches and Christian ministries in the area to encourage and be encouraged.
- Day 12
Return to Managua
Drive back toward the capital, overlapping one night with the incoming team to pass along everything learned on the ground.
- Day 13
Fly home
Depart Managua for the long journey home, full of stories.
